looking for recomendations on a NICE inexpensive cotton khaki suit for summer. i was following a similar thread about J.Crew but that turned to more of a rant on J.Crew than a discussion of their suits (which look good to me) or a viable alterantive.

I have a cotton twill suit from L.L.Bean Signature and I think it's great -- nice deep khaki colour, high notch on the lapel, working button holes on the sleeves. I believe it was about $200. The trousers were a tad full but nothing a little tailoring couldn't fix.

Actually, Target has had some rather attractive looking khaki cotton suit separates at typically Target-ish low prices. If they'd had jackets in my size, I probably would have sprung for one.

Don't know about current availability though.
