Just got my wedding suit in from Indochino, and it definitely does not feel or look right at all. Unfortunately, I don't wear suits too often and am having trouble figuring out exactly how to explain to Indochino what I want fixed on the suit.

For reference, I'm 5'9". Album below:

It somehow feels simultaneously too big and too small all at the same time. I planned on the first (and possibly 2nd and 3rd) make not fitting and needing adjustments, so I've gotten the suit several months in advance of when I need it. I could really use assistance and guidance on what to tell Indochino I want changed/fixed.

Not good at all.

Can not be fixed. Return, get a refund and go to a store and buy a suit. Then get that suit tailored.

Yeah, I knew this specific one wouldn't be salvageable. But they will remake it to try and get it closer. Just need to know what I need to be telling them to change for the next round.

Did you order this online? If so, ditch the idea.

Go to a physical store and purchase a suit that fits and get that altered. Wear a proper shirt/shoes when you go to purchase and when you go to get the suit altered.

This was done with them measuring me in store! Indochino doesn't offer refunds, but instead "are committed to getting you the perfect fit" as their website says. I most likely can't get money back, but I can have them completely remake the suit at no extra cost. That's my only option really at this point given the money I've already put in

The measured you in store. Ok. Did you have any followup fittings? Or was the suit made after 1 measurement?

Suit was made after 1 measurement, which is just how they do it. The process is I go in the store, they take measurements everywhere, then they send measurements to their manufacturer in China. The suit is then mailed to me several weeks later. I guess they get "close enough" for most that it works, or the average consumer doesn't know better / doesn't care. I have pretty broad, square shoulders, so I'm guessing some of the issues stemmed from that as it's not the easiest thing to convey with just number measurements.

I am going back in the store this week with the suit to put it on and show them the fit. MY HOPE is that they'll know what they're doing and know how to modify the measurements to have it made better the 2nd round, but I'm trying to get an idea of what I could also tell them needs to be done (i.e., longer sleeves, jacket is too tight in the waist, etc.).

What is wrong with this suit:

The shoulders look impossibly square. It looks like you are trying to look like an American football player - it is hard to tell if you are holding your shoulders unnaturally, if there is some heavy use of shoulder padding, a combination thereof, or a design flaw past my amateur's ability to diagnose

The chest looks overly full - I don't think Indochina was expecting to create a drape cut. It looks like the suit is levitating off of the body around the front of the chest.

Sleeve length - never had a chance. Your left sleeve is an inch too short, right sleeve probably 3/4 inch.

Coat length - at least an inch short. There was a major trend for slim and tight suits in the last decade that is thankfully petering out. This is unfortunately an example of that. The coat doesn't cover your ass. The quarters of the jacket are hugging your hips - if they were longer, they would go straight down and hopefully achieve some separation from your body

Just a public service announcement to anyone considering Indochino, they will not refund your money, no matter how many times they recut your garments and no matter how awful each of those cuts are. They'll keep sending you around in circles and wasting your time until you get too tired and frustrated of fighting it.

You'll eat several hundreds of dollars on products you don't ever plan on using because they just look so bad.

Stay away and buy from somewhere else. Please.
