True, Mini is not that bad, but look at the majority of British cars.

Many have a reputation for a lack of reliability.

Land Rover
Jaguar
Aston Martin
MG's (from the past)
Triumph's (from the past)
TVR's (I could care less about reliability, because their cars are sick)
Lotus (The Elise is the exception, however it has a Toyota engine in it).

Auto manufacturing is fully global now. Toyota/Lexus is one of the largest employers in the USA.

I actually think that they just want the marketing arm - they produce some of the cheapest acceptable cars in the world, and they are coming out with a car that they could put on the US market for $4,999.


they are a pretty good company - owned by a zoroaster family.
