groupthink.
they are nice pants, but they do not warrant this frenzy.

they are generally slim fitting, so that's appealling to most of ppl on this forum .
I wouldn't pay 100+ for them, but thanks to Daffy's, they are dirt cheap, and I mean dirt cheap, I am well stocked on Incotex.

They are normally $350+

They are great fitting pants for pretty much every body type.

How does that make sense?

They are slim, I give them that. In that regard, they're appealing. But Incotex also made the wrinkliest pair of khakis I've ever owned. I hesitate to wear them because they look like hell within 20 minutes. Other pairs are better, but I still find them too inconsistent for the price point. That said, the chino-linos are pretty nice. I like those.

Last go-round, IIRC, Daffy's had them for about $20-$25/pair. Great deal at that price.

Not really any more luxurious than other trousers in the USD 350 price range. The wool trousers are relatively robust and hold-up quite well to daily wear.

Some of the most comfortable trousers I own are Incotex cords containing 10% cashmere.

I have personal experience with the Incotex Sartorial line and the LinoChino.

At $600+ I cannot justify the Sartoriale, but at <$160 they are a sure bet. The construction is pretty good, the fabric drapes nicely

LinoChino is pretty nice as summery pants.

I also think that 75% of the fascination is group think/brand name.

I actually have the exact opposite review. I have two pairs of the 90% cotton/10% cashmere corduroy pants that retail for around $400-$500. While it feels soft, it drapes terribly and cannot hold a crease worth a damn. I have very positive experience, on the other hand, with the Polo Italian made corduroy pants.
