I heard a cafe got 400 responses for a position that was listed on craigslist. Some listings (for servers, bartenders, etc.) ask for a photo. Do people ever included a clip of themselves instead of a photo, or would that just be awkward?

Also. how long would you wait to get a response before ruling it out; in that they're not interested in hiring you or the position had already been filled.?

I'm not exactly attractive, but I was just thinking they would be a bit more likely to skim over my application.
So what does that say about the employers that do request a picture?
