Wow. That was almost TOO easy!
While in NYC browsing the mens floor in decmeber, I wandered into the Isaia section. Near the main walkway were a few new spring/ summer items. I saw an incredible 3 button tan suit-- double vented jacket, flat front trousers, light blue silk lining, unfinished sleeves/ bagged sleeve buttons. The work looked very good on the jacket, and the buttonholes were hand stitched-- great looking wardrobe basic that I've always wanted!
So, after saving up the necessary bucks, I emailed Omar Aboudi, the Isaia specialist who gave me his card. Next day, I had a response about the suit-- he did indeed have my size (which is sometimes tough to find, I like the fit and look of 42short on my frame). So, I phoned him yesterday and provided my shipping and CC info-- today I have a fedex tracking number in my email!!
Keep in mind I am back in Baghdad, making purchases online/ at odd times due to the time change. Omar was great to work with, highly recommended.
Can't wait to see that suit in April/ have it altered at my favorite tailorshop in Atlanta!! Planning to spend two nights there about mid month, taking 6 or seven suits in for alterations, to prepare for my Great Return in the summer/ back to the normal job market.
