Just wanted to give a shout out to a wonderful old gentleman and perhaps among the last of a now rare breed, Mr. Winston. I have done business with him over the phone and in person and he is a true gent, always has time for an anecdote about the old days and of course, purveyor of perhaps the cheapest garza fina grenadines around. Great service every time.

I was at his tiny shop today on 44th street and he was his usual charming self, (wearing a whimsical emblematic tie with repeating motifs of Santa pissing down a chimney pot!) and came away with two grenadines for $100. We talked about him finally getting his website up and running and he said with no announcement at all he sold 150 ties the day it went live. He said that the silk when his stock runs out it may not be back until February so get your Christmas treats in while they last fellas. Either in person or via his new website. Nice line in lambs wool and crunchy knits too if you're not into grenadines, along with their trademark emblematics and dog ties!

(And I have a barely worn garza fina in dark wine for sale, make me an offer - apologies for the self plug!)

I heard that the lining in those were pretty thick. The old Kent Wang grenadines also had thick linings that made them unpleasant to tie. I'm hoping these don't have the same problem. ian, I don't suppose you have a picture?
