1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Well, I never wear tweeds in summer. In warmer weather the coat is more likely to be linen or a lighter weight wool (still in some check). But when it turns a bit nippy ... the flannel and tweed serve me well.

When I practiced architecture, my space was a former wine cellar that stayed perpetually cool all year ... with a fire almost always burning ... and beagles at my feet to establish that informal country atmosphere. At home, if it's too warm inside, I take off the coat. But I spend a lot of time outdoors in the garden ... and the coat comes in handy at keeping me warm.

Could we have a miniseries with a dramatized reenacment of your life? A sort of bildungsroman telenovella, if you will?

Fox? No ... it's not my thing. From time to time I still shoot clays.

Well, in California where you live, it's actually coyote. Any you never actually catch them. They're far too smart and far too fast. Quite a good ride, though.

    Returning seemingly without stories, alas.

I'm with them in spirit, if not in body.

I'm searching for a solid silk twill necktie in olive. Does anyone know where I can find one? I hope I can buy it online.

Even a stripe tie like this one would work:

Sam Hober has a grenadine tie in the right color, I think.

    Thanks for your help!
