1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    They're done by hand. [IMG]

But for the really curious I'll be posting instructions on my blog soon, once I get through some of my dissection backlog.

Love the peak lapels and the ticket pocket!! Is a peak lapel considered the most formal of all the lapel shapes?

^ Id say so, except a shawl collar on a tux or smoking jacket.

Peak lapels are more formal than a shawl collar in any case.

Im no expert, but Im not sure. Shawl collars are almost always reserved for black tie. Someone please correct me if I am wrong.

    Tom Ford.

That suit is what inspired me to buy that DB windowpane suit I just sold.

Funny, I looked at that suit, and thought "Well the DB I just bought from Trini at least is similar"

The woman's shoes sitting in front of you are colour co-ordinated with the handlebar..

    Very chic.

Arg. I just ordered a light gray suit in H&S crispaire from Chan. I went with two patch pockets, thinking I'd wear the jacket and pants separately at times. Hope it wasn't a mistake. There are some great pics of light gray suits here. Part of me wonders if I should change the order to a mid gray. Any thoughts anyone?

Shawl collars are occasionally seen on lounge suits, but it always looks wrong to my eye. I know they were moderately popular in the early '60s, and I've seen a couple of examples in the last year or two (including Regis Philbin, which is a sure sign of something...but I'm not sure what).

[IMG] It was. I wanted to get a tweed coat and/or a corduroy one this visit. But Patrick and Arnold didn't bring the corduroy book, since they had anticipated mostly summer orders. So I got a brown tweed coat and this light gray suit.

emptym, I think you would look good in a light grey suit with your complexion. I would suggest the Cary Grant look with a solid dark tie, solid shirt.
