1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

    Cheers,

Unbelievable, how do you manage to pull this one out of your hat just like that?! My hat -- definitely empty of gorgeous women in madras -- off to you, Sir!

(Yes, for this and other reasons this thread deserves to be bumped - do not deny it!)

Patterned pants come and go. In a few years you will regret having photos of yourself wearing them. The exception will be a fine houndstooth linen or madras plaid pants for summer fun.

I expect this will be true of brightly colored trou as well, a fad that seems to be on its way out.

I like patterned trou that effectively resolve to solid. Fine herringbone, for example. But I almost never wear them.

How about textured pants (separates) like a subtle glen check or a herringbone? Do the same rules apply i.e. they look like orphaned pants?

I would call those patterns, not textures. I would say subtle glen check looks more like a suit than herringbone. Herringbone odd trousers are not at all uncommon.
