Been meaning to post these at the start of summer but never got the time. Anyway here goes: 3 light sports coats all owned from new and are either unworn or barely worn. All are too short or too tight for me now. All are regular fittings, whereas I need a long (at 6'3"). I used to think the shorter fit was ok, but can't fool myself any longer. Please feel free to make offers on all. Located in the Sydney CBD. Will post anywhere. The first two are Italian jackets in Linen/Cotton blends which I personally prefer to Linen for odd jacketings. More even texture and far less wrinkling than pure linen, far more drape than cotton. The first two are buggy (self) lined which is by far the best lining for a summer jacket (as nothing but linen comes in touch with your body, so you get the best air circulation and breathing in a jacket that still drapes). This method is rare and harder to achieve due to the cost of cloth and the need to finish all seams. 1) Hackett double breasted summer sports coat. 4 to 2 double breasted in a amazing Linen/Cotton cloth. $AU 200 (ono) Worn less than five times. Near perfect condition (I cant see any flaws). - Made in Italy for Hackett of London. - Broad peak lapels with a lovely roll. - Minimal structure and soft shoulders. - Working cuff buttonholes. - Lovely and very Italian melange buttons. - Patch Pockets. - Twin Vented. Cloth: 50/50 Linen Cotton in light herringbone. Light cream/ stone.. Lining: Buggy Lined (self lined) except the sleeves. This is a truly lovely jacket., the fabric is wonderful with texture, richness and drape of linen but with far less wrinkling (due to the 50/50 Linen cotton blend and the slightly heavier weight - with linen the heavier is usually the better.). Everything about this item is special yet classic, from the subtle Herringbone weave to the classic summer colour, the buggy lining, the lovely lapel roll and the subtle pick stitching and hand touches everywhere. All of the above are probably why I fell in love with this jacket and bought it despite it being too short for me (I'm 6'3"). Hackett don't usually make a long fitting in OTR so there was no choice. I've worn it a few times but it was always just too short and too tight.
