I am still very young, but my friends at school are very important to me, and even if we are gonna live in different cities in a year or two and although i will have new friends, i will try everything to keep the others posted about my life, web conferencing with them etc. on holidays we can meet again and have fun!

The ones that start nebulous threads to reach a certain post count and then start spamming.

I'm only 18 (going on 19 soon), and honestly, all through my life my "good" friends have been revolving door. There's only been one that's been constant for more than say, 3 years, and the on and off romance we have puts an incredible strain on the friendship. Sometimes we purposely ignore each other for a month or so at a time, just because we're immature little twits.

I mean all my friends from highschool, we're still good when we're back from break, but hardly any of us make an effort to REALLY keep in touch with each other. And in college, I don't have 'real' friends in the emotional sense; I have drinking buddies and I have study buddies.

That sucks dude. Make a concerted effort to make some real friendships because most of the lifelong ones come from HS and college. I mean it's not like all hope is lost - I've made a few great ones since school, but in general that's the rule. Do you have issues with emotionally connecting with people / introversion?
