Gonna be meeting all of my fiances family so I want to dress to impress BUT they are working class and I don't want to come off looking like a tool. So I think I will stick with blue jeans and maybe some brown drivers. Not sure what shirt to wear but want to stay away from polos. Probably gonna be hot and I sweat so no long sleeves.

Well if you guys got some ideas you would be helping me out alot.

This kinda already makes you sound like a tool.

I'd skip any leather dress shoes and wear sneakers + jeans + button down with sleeves rolled. Also, don't see why polos are out even tho I don't like them. It's no like they're a symbol of being upper class.

Just trying to describe the scenario. Cut me some slack. LOL

I've met some of her family already and I always wear a polo it seems. They are gonna start thinking I work at Brooks Brothers.

Yeah, a lightweight linen shirt or something would probably work pretty well. Polos are hilariously not upper class unless you're in like high school and they have an alligator on them, but why wear one to a party? Make sure sneakers are baller though, high tops a must and patent leather is bonus also: drivers suck

What type of party is it going to be? An outside, bbq type party? An evening get together at someone's house?

It's your fiancee's family, why aren't you asking her?

Most of the people on this forum spend thousands of dollars trying to look like "working class" people. Just read what are you wearing for inspiration.
