Nuff said, but why should we get it in black?
First of all, you can get personal shopping services free from lots of stores. It's actually an SA's dream, this type of customer. Also, full disclosure, I've done entire wardrobe revamps. It can actually be a lot of work. Usually, it's for guys who need to look presentable for a variety of occasions, but really hate shopping. Also, the spends are often pretty high, but not Saudi prince high (those guys love shopping.) You buy a crapload of stuff from all over, and present them with choices, and guide them through the decision making process, and show them how to organize a closet so that it's easy to put together outfits. You return most of the stuff that you've bought. Your job is to allow guys to bypass the shopping experience that they hate. Most of us won't understand that, since we love shopping.
One thing that is valuable is helping them communicate with a tailor/shirtmaker. Some guys are often are quite reluctant to voice their opinion, even when they have definite preferences, and having someone there with them helps them from getting railroaded. Good tailors and shirtmakers usually do not do this, but if someone is a complete noobie, an advocate who has really talked things through with the guy beforehand, can be useful.
That said, this guy does not seem to have that type of expertise.
If it's worth if for his client, then good on them both.
I'm just not sure I would buy a whole new wardrobe in one day.
The trench (if he unbuttoned the top button), sportcoats, shirts and haircut are not bad. Shoes are not terrible either.
Those sweaters and jeans are awful though.
He looks better.
What's sad about this whole thing is that a successful, adult male has to pay someone to dress himself. 20 years of being encouraged not to give a crap about clothes.
I'm also a young guy who's been updating my wardrobe over the past 5 months, and I've been taking my time. It's not just because I can't afford it, but I want to learn more, look for deals, and slowly work my way until I have a great wardrobe. Can't believe doing a change like that in one day.
If I had him to guide me, I would throw out every scrap of clothing I own and replace it immediately. His knowledge is so vast, and his taste so tastful.
This double earring clad, high pitched little man is a style GOD..
My favorite line is when he says the "Distressed" buffalo jeans paired with driving mocs and an Express sweater = "success and confidence".
Yeah just head on to their website and drop them an email - you can browse their stuff but their shopping isn't live yet. I've heard some great stuff about them, particularly like their rapello suede, rubber soled double monks and at 150 euros that's a pretty damn good deal.
Thanks for the reply! According the big Meerin thread it looks the the website is down for now
Lads, dig a bit and you can cop an alpha m t-shirt or a hoody for a fraction of 3k. Thanks alpha m and Style Forum for a new me!
I actually think the video is fine, minuts the look at 13:00. I think it's a huge improvement. I'm not trolling. The express velvet jacket is pretty crappy though. He's actually one of the better style consultants out there.
