I've been reading things on this forum but I've never posted, I just recently got into fashion because I was tired of mostly chinos and polos every day, I definitely have learned a lot by reading but I have a question about an ebay auction. I went into saks and tried on an armani collezioni suit and it fit great, then i found this on ebay armani suit it looks to me to be the same thing but im not very knowledgeable about this stuff. It ends pretty soon and its in my size so I would appreciate any help you guys would give.

The seller (brandmaniac) his been mentioned before on this forum, and not in any flattering terms. I'd avoid any of his auctions like the plague. There are some members here who are very reputable eBay sellers with consistently high quality merchandise (e.g. A Harris, discostu), if you're going to go that route.

First things first, what exactly are you looking for and how much do you want to spend? Are you only set on an Armani Collezioni suit, or are you open to other options?

My advice -- avoid this seller like the plague. He's in Germany. He sells mostly labels that are known to be faked (gucci and armani, etc.). Lots of Loro Piana "fabric" items he tries to push off as actually made by LP. His auctions are often deceptive. Avoid, avoid, avoid.

The seller is not particularly reputable, but the suit is real. However, it will be costly (over US$500, most likely) once you include shipping. There are better values to be had, particularly if you look elsewhere on eBay.

Avoid at all costs. Why don't you look on Yoox.com, Smartbargains.com, Overstock.com, Sierratradingpost.com, or Bluefly.com? Or better yet, wait for Andrew (or look on his site www.virtualclotheshorse.com) to put up his new stock? Andrew. does this get me a discount?

I'm not necessarily set on an armani collezioni suit I just tried one on at saks and liked the fit, I'm 5'9'' and have a slim build and that particular suit fit like it was made for me. I would like a Brioni suit, that is my ultimate goal but I don't know where to start on getting one of those. Just a couple weeks back I bought a blue stripe brioni shirt and I love it so I would definitely like to have one of their suits. As for the price, something in the $2000 range wouldnt be too much I'll will probably be saving for the next 4 weeks or so and any part that doesnt go to a suit will go to other clothing items

LA Guy, It would more likely get you a discount from Lance Hughes, the "Virtual Clothes Horse". Andrew Harris' EBay store is "World Class Consignment". Hopefully, both of these gentlemen will now reward you with a discount. [IMG]
