I'm assuming from your avatar that you're in DC. Duke's on U St. will do plastic ones for $5 per pair of shoes. No metal ones though, and I'm finding that the plastic ones last me only a few months (also a fast, hard walker). Let me know if you find somewhere to do the metal taps, as I just bought a pair of C&J Lowndes that I'd like to get done.
