You know, you are beginning to sound like an advertisment.

Vince is a homeless man with authentic hobo jeans who was caught sleeping on J.Gilbert's stoop. J. challenged him to a guerilla marketing campaign in exchange for new jeans. And now you see the results

Same here- after all, I need them to sell me those burgandy plaza last Alden bluchers-
but hey, when you show me the picture of a lovely shoe, tell me as much as you know about it.

Like, I'm in love with the J. Gilbert/Alden flexsole, but I know nothing about it. Do you know
what that is or how they get Alden to do it?

I find Alden's near-zero presence on the retail scene of their home state mildly hysterical.
Not to imply I'm itching to drop 5 bills on their bulldozers, or anything

Some of these J. Gilbert Aldens are made for their shop expressly by Alden-
you aren't going to find them on the Alden web site, though places like Alden of
Carmal seem to have them.

I walked into the J. Gilbert store and it was like walking into Mens Clothing
incarnate. I mean, I'd never actually seen wingtip high top boots or
Indy boots in the flesh before. Wild.

The ones I truely loved were only 4 bills. And I had them on my feet, dammit.
