Ok - my wife has always accused me of having more shoes than her (not exactly true) , but it wasn't until I found this forum in late fall that my real lust started. My coworkers have always tought I dressed nicely, especially since I work in manufacturing. Now I've started shopping at Brooks Brothers, dressing a bit nicer, and wanting to upgrade everything about my wardrobe. My queston is - where to shop in Buffalo, NY or Pittsburgh, PA? I mean, BB is nice, but I'd like to find some AE's or CJ's or some of the other nicer shoes. But I really like my shoes to fit well, so I'm hesitant to buy online. I'd also like to get into a nicer pair of jeans and find some nice socks, and I'm ready for a nice pea coat or some other more stlyish, professional winter coat other than my leather coat and my ski jacket. I do have a charcoal overcoat I purchased in December, but it seems a little too much most of the time for work. I'm an engineeirng manager, so it's not completely inappropriate for me to dress nicely.

I'd appreciate any recommendations or tips you are willing to share either by PM or in this thread.

Peal for Brooks Brothers is C&J. AE can usually be found at Nordstrom's

pretty much the only thing worth buying in Brooks any more are the shoes. Maybe the boxer shorts?

I love the differing opinions on this forum. Pretty much the entire forum agrees that BB shirts are decent for their price...then you guys come a long.

I do like the BB shirts - I do recall that some Peal shoes were noted as being C&J. Any other thoughts for places to shop in Pittsburgh other than BB?

MODA on Walnut St. (same street as the Apple store, United Colors of Benn, Gap, etc. Its all the way at the end on the same side as the Apple store. Its kinda trendy and yuppie-ish, but I have seen some cool stuff in there. Its definitely worth taking a look. also, Charles Spiegel has some nice things as well. Both are strictly men's stores. Same trendy vibe though.
