pack light and buy as you need. clothes are cheap in most of those places and you wont look like such a tourist.

Depends on length of trip and if you have it planned out. For my lengthier excursions through Europe, where i moved around a lot, i brought 1 week's worth of clothes. It fit into one carry on duffle. I made the mistake of bringing too much of my first lengthy trip. I either did laundry or had laundry service every week.

It will be a 1 month trip. This is my travel bag.

I am using strong vacuum compression bags so hopefully I can carry enough clothing for a week

Yes. Use bags to compress all the clothing. I think i brought something like 2 pairs of shorts, 1 pair of jeans, and 1 pair of cotton pants. Then just t-shirts, a couple button downs. I bought a sweater and sport coat while i was at my destinations. Just remember to wear your bulkiest things on the plane (wear pants instead of shorts plus your shirt, button down, and sweater/jacket). Also, don't bring a towel. They are cheap to buy and take up way too much space.

I've done this. You need:

1 pair of extra shoes. Wearing the same shoes and making lots of miles every day don't mix well. Extra pair of jeans. 1 additional pair of pants. I just bring... a second pair of jeans. 1 lighter sweater. 1 sweatshirt. 1 henley sweater (I just bring knits and jerseys, to avoid ever having to iron. 5 tees, 5 pairs of underwear. 5 pairs of socks (they are cheap to replace or buy new pairs of, as needed). 1 extra belt. A travel jacket - I wear an old Rag&Bone jersey jacket that can be used for a nice dinner in a pince, but Wings+Horns has them, and a shawl collar cardigan will do as well. toothbrush and toothpaste. Travel Deodorant. Emergency soap. International ready phone. Passport. Wallet. Done.

You wear a leather jacket, light sweater, tee, jeans, belt, shoes, and a pair of sunglasses onto the plane. Hat if that's your thing.

Essentially, you want to travel with a low fuss wardrobe that can accommodate any number of situations.
