I'm disappointed with Old Navy's undershirtss

I'm not very satisfied with Old Navy's undershirts. The collar is starting to lose its shape. The undershirts' collar started bending after the 15th wash or so. I guess I shouldn't really be too disappointed considering I paid about $6 CAD for each shirt, but nonetheless, I guess I got what I paid for.

15 washes sounds pretty good actually. Assuming 1 wash every week or 2.

I particularly like the 3 pack of "Premium" Hanes T-shirts for $9.99 at Target. The V necks do start to lose their shape, but I couldn't tell you how soon by wash number. I think if the less expensive undershirts can last you 4 months to half a year with reasonable rotation, then that is a well serving undershirt.

I have several Jockey undershirts that I've washed every two weeks for years. Still going strong. Unfortunately, I can't stand the new Jockey shirts without tags, so I don't know what I'm going to use as a replacement.

the kirkland t-shirts from costco are heavy duty and last a LONG time.

I actually suggest GAP stretch basic white tees since they are form fitting and last a really long time. They're only $12.50 each when you buy 3 or more.

For some reason, I think they wear better than the BR stretch tees, go figure.

It's washed on a weekly basis. Basically as soon as I go through a week's worth of undershirts, it goes straight into the washing machine.

I, too, have been disappointed with the undershirts from Old Navy. The best undershirts I have ever had? Some no-name ones my dad got from a wholesale place on a street called Harwin Dr. here in Houston. Have lasted over a year for me with minimal shape loss or shrinking.

Curious to see what others think about undershirts at other places.. or for that matter, what makes a good pair of socks or boxers?

I have a bunch of older Jockey shirts (from maybe 2 years ago, made in USA) that are still going strong.

The black ones have faded a bit (I have black and white undershirts) but the fit is still good. This is after being washed every two weeks for 2+ years. Wash them and throw them in the dryer after the first wearing and they shrink a bit to a perfect fit. Pretty impressive, considering they are $11 for a 3-pack at Marshalls.

2Xist is also decent, but I find that the neck, arms, and chest shrunk a bit more than the Jockeys.

In Canada, I find Winners to be a good place to get undergarments. They always have basic offerings from the major labels in stock. And unless you're buying online in very big lots, it's cheaper once you include shipping.

I hear the Alfani underwear isn't that bad.

I like the underarmor boxer briefs, but I got used to having to wear those to workouts in college.

Canadian? Just wait for one of those 35-45% off sales at The Bay, and stock up on Hanes, Jockey, or whatever else floats your boat. It'll be cheaper per shirt than the $6 you pay at Old Navy.

All my experiences with Old Navy are bad.

Maybe I just pick out the defective merchandise?

I was at Costco the other day and found a six-pack of CK undershirts for 29.99! Department store retail is the same price for three.
