Since the server crashed earlier this year, I haven't been keeping up with the forum, and for some reason my original account couldn't be reinstated. For those who had been here long enough: I was the original shoe Appreciation thread creator! Anyway, what is come-back without some good old-fashioned shoe Appreciation?

I just had a trip to Paris. Naturally I stopped by some shoe shops. I visited the Paris branch of Crockett and Jones where Dmitri takes care of a small bespoke department. I made my first order with him and the whole process was very enjoyable. I don't know if the general taste of the forum has changed over these months, but I hope people agree with me that these shoes are tremendously elegant.

A look at some of his work:

I then visited Corthay, again ...

I am not a big fan of Corthay from what I have seen, but I do think that Dimitri has the most elegant selection of shoes that I have ever laid eyes on.

I hope that you are as happy with yours as I am with mine.

What amazing Oxford boots, amazing johdpurs, and to cap it off button boots

. Wow.

ps note the way the boots all have a little fold at the fold - means they've gone through a proper blocking process. Very time consuming and old fashioned.

Glad to see you back (as a junior member! - LOL), though you have been spotted in the LL already.

Are spectator shoes on their way back?

Welcome back Naturlaut II.

You could have advanced from Mahler Symphony Nr 1 (that's where the name Naturlaut comes from) to Mahler Nr 2 (appropiately named 'Resurrection') and called yourself "˜Urlicht'.
