I have to say that I am surprised this subject does not have it's own threak, since the Napoleonic wars period is undoubtedly the apogee of military uniforms evolution.
There are rare volumes on the subject by Lucien Russelot. Some British volumes, I think by Elting, John R.
There are few movies that cover the subject such as superb "Duelists" and less superb but costumy War and Piece.
Please chime in on Books and movies that cover this fascinating period and its unbelievable military style.

How do you feel about spending money on non-essential goods during the Covid-19 crisis?

  • I don't want to spend money at a time of economic uncertainty, even if I could afford it.

  • I feel compelled to spend to help small businesses that are struggling.

  • I reduced my budget for non-essential goods and I'm not spending at the moment.

  • Not much has changed for me and I'm still buying stuff I can't afford.
