I will be going to Milan and Rome this week. What shops should I check out and coming from the US, are there any stores worth picking up merchandise for?

I am open to anything since I am looking to upgrade my wardrobe/furniture/etc.

    Hi there,

I can only tell you about clothing stores, mainly in Milan.

    Milan:
    M.Bardelli - Corso Magenta
Really nice, top quality Italian menswear. The whole area is worth to check out, good shops and restaurants.
    Ader - Corso Magenta
Local tailoring store, nice sportcoats for a good price.
Brian and Barry - Piazza San Babila
A big one, 9 floors with a good restaurant for a quich lunch.
Eddy Manetti - Piazza San Babila
    Another top quality sartorial store.
    Aspesi - Via Montenapoleone
One of the best brands for the Milanese casual look.
    Boggi - Piazza San Babila
Their biggest store, worth to check out. They also have stores in Rome.

    Rome:
Sartoria Ripense - Tailoring and Haberdashery, the owner has great taste.
