what are the car equivalent (in terms of quality, etc) of some of the jeans discussed here. What is the Rolls-royce of denim? The hummer (21 OZ ironheart), etc.

I'll start LEVI'S=Ford

The Rolls of denim is probably a pair of R for 45RPM Jomons, or, if you are into vintage cars, the Silver Phantom of denim are the Aihikos. They are beautiful, imperfect, and **** stupid expensive (even by Japanese standards.)

PCs are like volvos. No frills, gimmicks, or flash, but completely unbreakable and radical in every other way.

Diesels are like Lexus; all style and no substance.

I'd say the PBJ AI-001 must be like a Mercedes G55 :p Something about slubby ass denim makes me think tough, I don't know if it actually is or not tho.

Salt WRX jeans. Get it?? :p

Both are very underrated but deliver quite a bang for the buck.

Helmut Lang = Audi... simple, high quality, pretty expensive but not ridiculous, and sometimes odd/interesting stylistic quirks.

Nudies would be like BMWs - good, solid design and decent construction and parts, a little sporty, modern. And really overpriced in the States compared to their home market.

Rogan would be a Jag. Really beautiful and distinctive, but **** ass expensive and needing constant repairs.

my h&m jeans are the hundai sonata of denim. Glad I don't drive. Diesels are the dodge charger on blocks in front of your house-used to be cool; but now they're just broken. energie are a honda civic with purple lightning bolts painted on the side-embarassingly young. chip and pepper are chevy tahoes-kinda fratty. paper denim and cloth are the honda accord-styled; but muted and mostly just efficient. and, of course, levi's..a pickup truck from the 70's. I want the ferrari of denim. what would that be?

yea, Lexus probably has more substance than style these days (that awesome 2 seater coupe the exception)
