what would it be? The reason I ask is I have just received a Ladbroke with Southwold toe and medallion(pictures to follow) and I thought in six months time if I can afford another pair, what would they be? I know there are 1001 options but my mind is blank.

They are Dark Oak,I asked for heavily antiqued but they dont seem any more antiqued than others I have in Dark Oak.Having said that I am still very happy with them.

It doesn't show up that well on dark brown in general. I did an amateur job on a pair of dark brown monkstraps that I have and you can tell, but only in bright sunlight. Go with the lighter browns (or burgundy) if you want to show-off the antiquing.

They're definitely in my top 5 for sheer beauty.

Seems like one should not consider doing mtm until one has a clear idea of ones own style and look. I would suggest spending more time shoe shopping at Nordstrum, Saks, NM, Barneys, etc before even thinking of mtm or bespoke.

$1240 w/ tax and 20% surcharge included from Saks, NYC. That does not include shoe trees. Proces from others including Sky Valet, Jay Kos and LeatherSole may vary.

I have to say I agree with Diorshoe's selection. Impeccable.

As long as everyone understands that this is not an EG MTO shoe, it's EG bespoke and will run upwards of $3000.
