If there are no MTM suit-makers in my area, where should I go for a decent mid-range price suit?

Brooks Brothers makes good suits. They're usually expensive. If you want to save money you can get a tailor to take your measurements (tip them if they don't charge you) and compare those to the detailed measurements on the Spier and Mackay and Suitsupply sites. I've been very successful buying on line, though that may be because I am pretty much a standard size. Since returns are free at Suitsupply and the first return is free at Spier and Mackay you don't run much of a risk.

Thank you both. I've tried Indochino once before and wasn't thrilled with the results, so I'm a little wary of buying online again, but I'll look into your suggestions.

Oliver wicks is far better than Indochino. OW has high-quality Italian-mill fabrics, and it’s all made in Europe, not China. Their customer service is amazing. I highly recommend them and have several pieces

Spier & MacKay and Suitsupply are both good suggestions. Brooks Brothers holds mid-season and end-of-season sales, and sometimes even sales in between, which allows you to get a suit for less than retail. Unless you have an unusual build, I'd recommend getting RTW over "affordable" MTM. Mostly because you can put the garment back on the rack if you don't like it.
