If the back vent opens, is the jacket too tight?

    I found this pic on a website that is selling a single vent tartan jacket. The pic shows the back vent opened. That makes me wonder: Is that kosher? or is a symptom that the jacket is too tight?

    Vent should not open unless you are bending or reaching - in which case that is more or less it's purpose.

    But then again the jacket shouldn't be that short either.

    It's all just part of the current style 'sickness' called: It only looks right if it looks like I outgrew it.

    Vent open often means the bum is too big for the jacket - in which case a fuller fit is advised. Current trend now is very slimmed down suits and an inch or two short. It is bound to happen with this modern trend where the vents part ways even when standing fully erect. But that said current trend as dictated by ads does not mean people follow it in masses.
