The vids aren't bad and he looks stylish.

Michael Alden's wardrobe has an understated elegance like none other

I enjoy his videos and look forward to future cloth club commissions

I just watched the video about mixing patterns. He's right. . .use your eyes.

I think what he's doing is great. . .He's got the courage to put his face in front of a camera and offer some good advice.

While I agree with Lefty's comments, I think Alden looks and sounds great.

I think Mr. Alden wears his clothes really well ... he's got a very good sense of style.

My only, and thus biggest, complaint about Alden's new video blog is that it takes attention away from iLookOK, who is also a member here.

Tweed in the City and NewYorkRanger's Not Another Blog Blog remain all text (unless you simulate video effects by paging the scroll bar on your browser up and down quickly), so Alden's does not compete with them directly yet. So that's okay.

    Doesn't bother me at all.

Before the videos became available, I was simply predisposed to dislike the guy. He's much more affable than I'd imagined possible. I initially had visions of a bewigged museum piece peering through a mother-of-pearl handled lorgnette.

Tweed in the City is a totally dead blog. I mean, what kind of jackass keeps a live link in his sig to a blog that is never updated?

I like the videos, even if the host is a little (ok, a lot) affected.

I applaud his effort. I like his look, it appears comfortable and he can move in them.

Despite the peculiarities and quirks of MA, I appreciate the service and useful tips DWS provides. TIC, on the other hand, due to its infrequent entries doesn't strike me as a sink/source of active journalism on clothing.
