If I'm a 41R verging on long ...

Greetings -

If I'm a 41R (verging on long - 5'11.5" with a long torso, shortish leg),
if I were to hazard an online purchase, should I opt
for a 42 to be taken in, or a 40 to be let out?

Or does it depend on the style/maker?

Sizing varies so much that the numbers hardly mean anything. Find something that fits your shoulders and chest, then tailor elsewhere. Make sure the arm length at least exceeds your required length.

Yeah- really depends on the fit. I'm around a 41L myself and find fits from 40-42 that work with alterations.
