Identify These Church's (?) Shoes

These are the most comfortable shoes I've ever worn. They were passed down to me by my father, who is pretty sure they are Church but the insides are so worn that no logo shows.

The only thing readable inside is a small piece of printing that seems to say "Aldgate" - not a current Church model and not one I can find online.

I want to get more like them, quite apart from wanting to know more about what I'm wearing. Emailed Church but no response. Anybody able to identify them?

Thanks

Please upload a photo of the inscription inside the shoe. The words may not be legible but would nevertheless throw some light as to the identity of the shoes

They’re probably Crockett & Jones.

I second this. There was an "Aldgate" semi-brogue made for Paul Smith by Crockett & Jones. Same brogueing pattern, the medallion appears to be the same, but hard to make out as the picture I saw was an example in snuff suede
