Ideas for a reversible dress belt

So, i'm in the market for a new belt. My former reversible belt was a Burberry, made in Italy, nice leather, but the problem was and this is weird, the buckle became scratched. It was a chrome buckle but apparently copper underneath, because after the buckle became scratched it was unsightly.

So...for what should I be looking? I'm going to wear it with dress pants and suits. Is reversible trashy? In terms of price points, I'm cool spending around $300. I could be convinced to pay more but e.g. an Hermes belt is probably too flashy for me. I like brands, but I like quality as much.

Thanks for any tips!!

PS. Not sure how the buckle became scratched. I'm not THAT shady.

I absolutely hate reversible belts. Why do you want one? Do you just have one belt that you want to wear with brown and black shoes? The leather wears in a strange way it gets bent both ways and the reversible mechanisim is usually the first thing to fail.

I would suggest you buy multiple, non-reversible belts.

+1.

If you're getting a reversible belt you might as well get it at Walmart.

I typically avoid reversible belts but I have one. It's brown suede of one side and brown leather on the other. But I got it to use primarily for the suede side. I'm afraid if I use the leather side the suede might get damaged. The backside of my belts never looks so good after a few months of wear.

Then you should get a quality black and a quality brown belt which is not a problem at this price point.
