I will almost have my confirmation ceremony in church. My family already planned where we will celebrate, but I have one problem. I don't know what should I wear. Some of my friends will wear something more formal. Now my older brother had his confirmation 2 years ago and he weared black trousers, silver suit and waistcoat with necktie. My parents told me I can wear what I want, but they think I can have his suit outfit. I don't think I want it.I want to wear something like tuxedo, maybe even three piece suit. Please help me and tell me some advice.

Congrats on your first communion. Have you asked the organizer what they recommend? A tux seems too formal to me, but maybe they're common where you are. I went to a first communion a couple weeks ago, and most men were in either a suit or sport coat. I wore a navy blazer, white shirt, light blue knit tie, gray pants and burgundy loafers. The navy suit in your avatar would probably be nice imo.

I would suggest a suit over a tuxedo. The tuxedo is usually for evening events. A three piece suit would look quite nice.

A navy or mid-gray suit would probably be good. You could do a three-piece if you want.
I don't know, there was one guy who had blue tuxedo at his confirmation and it looked really nice. I think I'll wear three piece suit. Also thanks for advice.

I think that's a good plan. A tuxedo is sort of weird to wear in church, IMO, and doubly so if it's a morning or daytime thing.

Also organizer said we need wear anything we want unless it is just t-shirt. Confirmation had allways been serious occasion like wedding. So it will be good for me to wear something formal.

Whoops! Sorry. I don't know how I confused the two. Must've been because I had communion on the brain from the one I attended recently. I actually taught confirmation a couple times, although over 20 yrs ago now.

Hope it goes well!
