I have it on in the background. Did you catch the tranny music act that opened the show?

Yea, I had to leave the room for that. It was god awful.

Nope...for the reason you mention. But when are these all-star competitions (in any major sport) any good? I think the NBA dunk competition can still be entertaining. Not much else.

That said, if it's a matter of mailing it in for the sake of the fan base, then I agree with the league's decision to enforce the new rule on able participants who skip the event (i.e., making them sit out the game before or after the all star event, not an official suspension).

Playing hockey, I really enjoy and appreciate the skills comp. It was great before the lockout but now is too viewer friendly. I am also against the voting system. It is a total joke, they should just have the top scorers from each team/ league leaders play.

Just lost a game for my team tonight. Cleared the puck right up the middle (big no-no) and the defense-man pinched and slapped the puck in. The worst part was that it was shorthanded. I definitely feel like shit right now.[IMG]

Caps played pretty shitty last night. If we ever make it to the Finals, we will get owned by any Western team it seems like.

The Stars put him on waivers today. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.

Sounds like Sather wants him back in NYC. I heard some comments from current Ranger players (I can't remember who) on TSN last night, and one or two didn't sound too excited to have him in the lineup again.

^ One or two? You sure it wasn't the whole team?

Yeah that was rough, but you're still 10 pts behind in the standings. Hopefully you'll make it into the playoffs. [IMG]

I love hockey. Im a die hard NY Islanders fan!> I love going to games, especially sitting by the glass, but the game has changed for the worse, its become too panzy. The eastern europeans and russians have ruined the great game of hockey, not too mention panzies like Lemieux and Gretzky who couldnt take a hit if their lives depended on it. Watching hockey these days is like watching figure skating. I really miss goonism. Guys like Nick Fotiu, Bobby Probert, Joey Kocur to name a few are missed. Sean Avery,George Parros and Tom Kostopoulos add a feel of old-school hockey to the game today.

Grew up playing, but in Michigan its what you do. Still dont understand why its not as popular, but its got a high cost of entry and traditionally has been played in a pretty contained geographic region.

Now Lacrosse is another sport I dont understand the lack of popularity.
