1. Hi. We moved systems, and because it was impossible to achieve feature parity between the systems, we opted to archive the old B&S threads but allow users to read them so that they can put them into our new B&S system.

There is a support thread if you have any issues.

    Cheers,

    Fok.

I have an extra pair of vintage quite real tortoise-shell frames; not bits of speckled plastic, these are French, and from the '60s. They are rectangular and are a medium light cherry and in a shape sort of similar to the popular "hipster" styles now. These would not be inexpensive though, but still reasonable for what they are. Can you provide measurements? I'm a little wary of buying glasses I can't try on but I'm really interested in wearing rare animals on my face.

Me three. If you could measure the total width from end to end, and the total height, and the width of the bridge it would be helpful.

does the arm length cover the entire length including the front part that the arm connects to or just the actual arm that 'breaks' from the main body. I apologize, not familiar with glasses frame measurements.

I measured from the part where the arm actually starts to the entire length of the curved bit.

I am thinking in the vicinity of $750, or so. I might go lower.

Not sure if you were still thinking of selling but would it be possible to take some photos from different angles?

Even though I oppose tortoise hunting on ethics, it is impossible to deny how beautiful those frames are. Real tortoise is a stunning material. $750 seemed outrageous before you posted close ups; $750 is still outrageous, but so is my desire for them.

My tortoise-shell book wrote that mottled tortoiseshell was like clouds in front of the sun; the material is quite stunning in sunlight.
