my experience with shoes are that sometimes they look more conservative in person than in pictures and vice versa.

to go off the pictures only , for these actually i dont mind the pointier toe , as i am inclined to italian style footwear, but in terms of a captoe, i would prefer more a rounded or blunter toe.
to me, a pointy toe like that and a captoe are contradicting; i have pointier toes on my plaintoes or boots.

I would make sure I know how they felt. I've tried on a couple of pairs of pointy shoes before, and one problem is that your toes can be far from the actual tip of the shoe that it's annoying. Like having pieces of leather flapping in front of your toe as you walk, that was how I felt trying those on.

to me they're not that pointy, but they're on the pointier side of the spectrum for that type of shoe. They'd prolly look good with a slim suit a la Costume National or similar ilk. and they're definitely 0% rockabilly.
