read this: http://www.bild.de/BILD/news/bild-en...in-berlin.html while visiting europe last week, barack obama had a german gym workout with a young lady reporter from the german tabloid newspaper "BILD". she is not going to forget that anytime soon - and he feels so betrayed. so let's enjoy her sexytime memories !

1 kilo = 2.2 lbs.

If Obama was curling 70.4 pounds for 10 reps with each arm, he's a helluva lot stronger than he looks. His forearms look rather unimpressive...but looks can be deceiving in matters of strength. I wonder what some of his other excercise poundages were.

I believe that Abe Lincoln is supposed to have been our strongest president. In a lot of cartoons and such he was always portrayed as sort of a beanpole type, but given that he was 6'4" and 220+, he must have been fairly muscular.

+1, no way Obama curls that much with each arm. I remember the famous shirtless beach pic of him smoking from a while back, and he was scrawny and pudgy. Someone who uses 70 pounders to curl probably uses, say, 225-250 to rep for bench, easily. Essentially, not Obama, unless he's become secretly jacked since.

She didn't make any changes, she's always liked black men.

Didn't read the article, but no way. I can imagine him curling 70 pounds using one of those fixed weight barbells, and sometimes that's even tough. No way he can pick up a 70lb. dumbell with each arm.

Yes, I've read most of the above.

One thing that I did admire about GWB was his running. He was a dedicated runner till he had knee problems (like me and many others). I live very close to an extremely popular running trail here in Houston called Memorial Park. It has a 3 mile running loop around it.

I ran it with GHWB and many secret service men once (this was in 1988). I was about a 28-30 minute pacer for the three mile run which is just about average.

In his first term it was claimed that GWB ran the 3 mile loop at a 20 minute pace. I think this was an exageration or he would have been an extremely fast runner.

Obama sets a good example by working out but I really don't like the idea of a smoking POTUS.

BTW: Anyone know what McCain's workout regimen is?

McCain's workout is typical for someone his age...

What do you do for exercise? "I hike, I swim, I do light exercises," McCain said
I'd guess they are extremely light. McCain is really quite crippled in the upper body thanks to the North Vietnamese. In person, he seems very hunched up and I've heard he has trouble even pulling his shirt or sweater over his head and tying his own tie. Swimming and walking make the most sense for him. He's certainly not doing a lot of upper body workouts.
