I had to wear Aldo square-toe loafers to work today with a really nice get-up, due to unfortunate circumstances involving my other pairs of black shoes. I feel so dirty right now.

I feel that pain all the time in that I don't have enough pairs of shoes in my work rotation (4) and one of those pairs is a Steve Madden corrected-grain loafer, square-toed, which looks like crap.

I have 5 pairs of dress shoes total, 2 of which I avoid wearing to work (Barker Black / Gucci loafers) because if they get scratched up, I'm going to be pissed.

No no no no no. The only acceptable option would have been to call in sick and head immediately to a department store or shoe shop to drop a minimum of $500 on some decent shoes.

That sort of despicable behaviour will not gather any sympathy here.

I go out of my way to wear my nicest pairs of shoes as much as possible except in inclement weather. That's one of the practical benefits of full-grain leather -- scuffs and minor scratches are easily remedied with a little shoe cream and polish.

I do feel your pain about the KC square-toes although, truth be told, I didn't really notice your one extra pair today among all the other KC-wearing guys on the street.

I'm so sorry, Metro . . . maybe that's why Ava preferred to be barefoot.

they dont even have half sizes. it is either size 9 too small, or size 10 too big.

Funny, I've found Aldo's in Size 41, 42 and 43. Last I checked, 42 was about 9.5.
