    Hey all,

Title of thread notwithstanding, I have never been and have no opinion re SF, but I will be there over next weekend and have some more practical questions. I figure I might get some answers here.

I want to pack light, but from what I read online the weather can be unpredicatbale. Is that correct? Can I get away with a light or mediium weight jacket eg quilted barbour, with some shirts/sweaters or is that not enough?

I don't have any special occasion that I need to get dressed up for, so no special clothes I have to bring. All guidance appreciated.

    Thanks

I would check the forecast and prepare for 10 degrees variance either way from that. Windproof is probably more important than absolute warmth.

Yep, also in my experience, rain isn't light here. Either it's overcast and dry, or torrential downpour.

^ I've seen suits on motorized skateboards, scooters, and manual powered scooters so many times here. Despite the relative uniquity, it's still an odd sight.

Reviving the thread. Considering a move here from the east coast. Why should I reconsider? This is coming from an approximate 30 year old not 85 (like Lefty). I like Pac Heights/Marina, not a fan of Mission at all. Thinking 2-3 year stint as the mid-atlantic is not doing it for me anymore.
