1. And... we're back. You'll notice that all of your images are back as well, as are our beloved emoticons, including the infamous :foo: We have also worked with our server folks and developers to fix the issues that were slowing down the site.

There is still work to be done - the images in existing sigs are not yet linked, for example, and we are working on a way to get the images to load faster - which will improve the performance of the site, especially on the pages with a ton of images, and we will continue to work diligently on that and keep you updated.

SanFo has apparently gotten too baller for the NY crowd to hang. :)

San FranCISco is a gorgeous city for those who live, work, and play in the best of neighborhoods. But the choices do not compare to New York City.

And . . . when choosing a New York neighborhood, nothing beats the Manhattan Christmas:

Visited SF recently and there was an unsettling number of 35 year old men on skateboards.

Interesting. That Marine is wearing a uniform that was only ever worn for one excercise, which happened to be in the Bay Area, in the 1990s.

One thing to think about in Marin is a lot of those wooded lots, particularly ones covered in Redwoods as in the pic, can be coldish and foggy all year round. Take care to notice the exposure (souther, northern) and if it is on the bottom of a canyon. Those trees block out a shit load of light and while living among them can have an awesome sylvan feeling the lack of light and perpetual dampness can be trying.

Apart from Marin, you will find similar homes / setting in Portola Valley and Woodside in the Peninsula.

I can't get a fucking decent haircut in this city.

I've been to a couple of the nicer spots like Freemans and Public School too.

They don't even texturize your hair with a razor, instead they use those god awful scissors. WTF.

Thinking of trying JA Razor Club.

i loved San fran, though i stayed closer to san jose. it is a great place to ride a skateboard in your 30's. the locals are friendly, the bars are nice. the shopping is great. generally a cool place to be if you are a fun person. the SF members who live there are awesome. drank with some. had a blast. thanks san fran for a fantastic week. saw the warriors beat the kings!

quit dissing it. - cool town.
