Hey All,
I think I might have burned my shoes....
Story:
I recently started making it a habit to polish my shoes once a month. While working on a pair (Medium brown) in somewhat low light, I noticed one of them had a dark spot, to myself I was thinking perhaps this was a spot with excess polish that didn't buff out enough, so I get a wad of pantyhose and start going on it, I lose my concentration for a bit (was doing it while watching TV), and noticed the spot got much larger - I tried scraping it with a finger nail, but nothing came off (I probably should have did this first) - Because it was a wad of nylon pantyhose vs a single layer over my hand, I couldn't feel the heat developed from the polishing - Im thinking I actually burned my shoe?
If I did indeed burn my shoe, is there any way to fix this? Throw them into a campfire and hope for a cool singed look?
