You could use the occasional "vet appointment" for going home early on fridays or even for a three day weekend. Im sure no one would object to a missed day here and there if it turns out Rover is a wonderful therapy dog at the old folks home or local hospice and you clear it with the office first.
What if one were to place a picture of a dawg on one's desk? It could instantly boost street cred in the workplace.
there's an allegedly gay VP down the hall with a picture of his 'partner.' no one in the firm can vouch for said partner's existence at any of the office functions and many have begun to question if he's gay at all, using the gay card to fluff (no pun) the firm's 'diversity' quota in our brochures (securing his position) and to appease the handful of wealthy homosexual clients.
What a racist and mean-spirited thing to say about people not part of your race. Just because you're white does not give you the right to say these about other people. I come from a third world country and I don't like to be compared to dogs. Styleforum is now Stormfront?
Do you have a picture of your cat on your desk?
it's not mine but i tell people it is. per my friend it shows managers you are loyal - he has been on it for 2 weeks and good results so far.

Also a day off for the death / funeral if any real dog lovers start asking too many tough questions.
1) Surveil said VP after work or on weekend.
