I ordered a canali suit from neimanmarcus.com and the sizing is in EU not IT?

Hello,
I purchased a canali two piece wool suit from neimanmarcus.com online. For some reason every canali suit on neiman Marcus website is measured in EU instead of every other major retailer I can find which measures canali suit by IT sizing.

my suit is a 54EU which neiman Marcus says translates to a 43US jacket. Is that incorrect information? I thought with EU sizing you size down 10 to get the us equivalent jacket measurement.

so#1 why is neiman Marcus selling canali suits In EU instead of traditional IT sizing

and#2 what does a 54EU translate to in us sizing? Is it a 43US as neiman Marcus is telling me?
does Anyone know the jacket circumference in cm for a size 54EU jacket? Thank you

have you considered going to your local NM and or Bloomingdales ? they usually have a bunch of canali suits in store to try on. otherwise I'd call customer service tbh. sometimes calling the HQ in NYC works best. they know more about their product.

IT and EU sizing are the same thing.

EU/IT suits run small. I’m a 46R in “US” sizing, but 58C or larger in EU/IT.

The main thing to note is the drop - the higher the drop the slimmer the fit.
Just take the EU number and subtract 10. So EU or IT 48 equals a US38R
