how would i avoid this problem? i've been sort of "cheating" by having an assortment of ties and never wearing the same tie in a month, but i finally got caught with the same suit in a 3 day stretch.

how do you guys avoid this issue?

Buy another suit? Point out when ever she wears something twice in a week? Explain that as you aren't actually Patrick Bateman you aren't bound by law or culture to not wear the same thing twice. Headbutt her then point out every day that she wore that very same bruise yesterday?

See, pretty much all of my suits are navy or charcoal, and all my shirts are white or light blue (inspired by ze Foo).

Therefore, if I were to emulate Reevolving and wear the same suit and shirt for five days in a row, nobody would know if I'm wearing the same clothes or took a dive into my (presumably hot) neighbors' trash. Win all around!

The other alternative is to wear a sport coat at least a day a week, which introduces some variety.

assuming it was a guy, you could always ask him how long he and his boyfriend have been going out.

If he responds... "Uhhh - I'm not gay" you follow up with, "ohhh, I just assumed..."

Yes, fine words coming from a gentleman on a clothing forum where people play "dress up" for other men on the internet. Gee. Since when have bigotry and stereotypes been acceptable?

If your username was a little less Simpsons and a little more Evangelical this would make fine satire.

If you have simple navy and charcoal suits, how did someone notice it was the SAME one? Did you have a big stain on it you didn't wipe off? I don't think any straight, non-creepy guy would notice, but even then I don't think it's unreasonable for someone to just buy two of each color and call it a day.

So yea, buy another suit. I'm assuming you threw your hands up and admitted your "guilt" when confronted, so just carrying on is not an option?

Just get another suit or sportscoat/pants fit.
I notice you are a 40R. I happen to have a few 40R suits for sale. (check sig)

Also have a blue blazer 40R and a nice tan silk Hickey Freeman sportscoat.

Don't we all! You can witness it from being proudly worn on its first day to one less than two years later when it finally looks so bad it can be burned.
