I need a sort-of hybrid of a V-neck and a crewneck t-shirt.

Now that the weather is colder, I'd like a shirt I can wear underneath everything. On the other hand, I really don't like the feel of the v-point of a v-neck. It chafes! But I don't want the top of a crewneck to show through. Is there some kind of "deep crew neck" of good quality out there?

The scoop neck is a viable option. Shipley and Halmos make a very ncie one, you can PM Mauro about that.
