I need a new style, please help me.

I'm 17 years old and have pretty much just worn t-shirts, I think it's time for a change but I don't know what's in to be honest. So if anyone could tell me something to follow or give me some tips it would be much appreciated. BTW my school has a strict dress code so no graphics.

I'm looking for stuff to wear inside of school. The dress code pretty much prohibits any graphic tee so I'm stuck with plains and stripes. I'll be sure to check the WAYWT thread as soon as I post this.

How so? I'm not looking for a fancy casual, more of a polo, t-shirt, and nice jeans type of look. I'm just looking for a good way to look with that.

No offense, but you've had nowhere near enough time to adequately look through the WAYWT thread. Not only that, there is another multi-thousand older thread that was locked and used before the current one. There's a lot of good stuff and styles from every walk of life there, you just have to dig.

Or you can check out some other sites and look for pics that appeal to you. Your style has to embody you and your lifestyle; asking people on the internet to dress you without knowing anything else about you will only make you look awkward in real life.

EDIT - Well you have a basis; polo, jeans, and tees. The item that has the most leeway in fit is the jeans, so what cut of jean are you looking for? Different body types can be complemented with different cuts of jeans.

I've looked through my fare share of the pages and there are a lot of suits and british looking clothing. I was also not asking you to dress me, I was just looking for some tips.

As for the cut of jeans I was thinking a dark colored boot cut.

Don't get a bootcut, a straight leg is much more flattering. Try apc new standards, they're the best starter raw denim.

Seriously, if you don't like the prevalent style here, why would you bother asking?



If you listen to the general advice you'll just end up in APC jeans, cons, and AA tees. So I'll save you a lot of trouble an tell you to just do that. You'll look fine and it won't cost you too much. I'll probably laugh at you if I see you on the street, but that's ok, you don't care what I think.
