This would be ideal, does anyone know who it's by? I want something that will last for years and don't mind spending sensible money on it.

I am in the UK, by the way.

Many thanks.

Ah, the last time we saw you you looked so much older
Your famous blue raincoat was torn at the shoulder
You'd been to the station to meet every train, and
You came home without Lili Marlene

You've lost me. But I'm prepared to be enlightened.

What a cheerful little ditty that is. I managed thirty seconds before removing my tie and forming a noose with it, having found my paper knife too blunt to slash my wrists.

Anyway, moving on, anyone recognise that raincoat above? Or suggest a maker other than Burberry or Aquascutum?

Have you looked at Mackintosh yet?

Yoox has some models at discount if that seems like the right direction.

I hadn't, but some of their coats look ideal. Thank you.

Thanks konoyaro I bought a Mackintosh.

I initially bought a Burberry, but returned it. The fit was slightly off and it needed to be perfect for the money.

Glad I could steer you in the right direction. If you're so inclined, please post a picture of your purchase.

Might be worth a look at Private White VC as well. I have a couple of shackets and a coat of theirs, nice stuff
