Had to go on an unplanned business trip so ran home last night and threw some clothes into my suitcase and ran out the door. While getting dressed this morning I realized I had shirts with french cuffs and no cufflinks at all. Unable to find any safety pins, I made these with small gold buttons, a keyring and a paper clip while riding the train to my client's office.

Very resourceful. I have had to use treasury tags before now.

Thanks for the props, gents.

I am staying at a small business hotel near Kyoto. I went to the hotel front desk to try and get some safety pins and they rummaged around and brought out a small box with sewing stuff. There were no safety pins but there were a bunch of those gold buttons. I instantly flashed on to an image of Kent Wang cufflinks and grabbed four of them.

Actually, they worked so well that I am wearing them again today.
