I know pre-distressing and the brand get no love, but what do you think of these:

I know, I know, everyone here seems to hate Rock and Republic, and nobody seems to like pre-distressed jeans anymore, but looking past that, can you comment on these two pairs:

http://www.neimanmarcus.com/store/ca...0732cat8900744

I tried them on, and what I liked most was the fit. That particular style also seems to fit in very well with what's trendy in LA (though please correct me if you feel otherwise). So, looking past feelings based on principle, please tell me what you think of these individuals. Oh, and another possible jean:

Were they anything but 7s, I'd already own them, but I'm just not sure if it feels too much like buying jeans at Express or BR at this point.

All comments appreciated.

The reality is, no one gives a **** if you're wearing pre-distressed jeans or dry jeans. No one cares, except people who post on denim related internet forums.

I have a pair of pre-distressed Nudie straight svens and I wear them more than anything else right now. I like them.

The jeans you posted look pretty cool. If the fit was great, buy em!

I'd go with the 7FAMK if I had to choose one of the 3 jeans you mentioned. The pocket graphics on the R&R are horrible

I completely agree the R is a bit played. Not sure how I feel about the skull yet.

I had the same decision to make a little while ago, I ended up going with the R&R's

Happy with them, they seem like pretty good quality jeans (despite having the top button pop off and having to have it repaired). I went with the regular RR pockets in a subtle color, I found a pair of skulls a like but the ones you posted aren't them
wink.gif
Im also not a big fan of the grease looking stain on the first pair. The 2nd ones are quite nice, very subtle for R&R's. When buying those jeans you're almost expected to be a bit loud, I wouldn't mind getting another pair with alot of detail and loud back pockets

Which fit did you go with? I liked these because they are straight, but not too tight. In fact, even a bit looser than their original Henley. This denim happens to look a little like the denim on the Nudie SSDS flame.

I got the henley heliums

If I had to compare I'd say they fit very similar to 7 bootcuts, just not as much flare. Their straight leg looks nice

Yeah, I didn't even hear of the term until I came here.

Haha, I sort of agree with you there. And it's hard for me to wear jeans available at Macy's, lol. I also think that NM in Beverly Hills dropped the line, if that says anything. It's too bad those are 7s, I think the wash is really nice.

if you like it then get it. i think it's ridiculous how people are saying "men shouldn't wear this or that" even though there is a men's line. the only exception to that would be juicy couture jeans that says JUICY all over your ass.

You think it's ridiculous then you immediately make a rule about how men can't wear Juicy? Laughable.

I know some flamers who would go for that. Last I checked flaming queer men were still men, and they look good for their target "market".
