Actually, that's not Elvish. That's Mordorish, or whatever. The letters are Elvish, however.

Yes, I know the books well enough to know that. But no I would not get them tattooed on my arm (or anywhere else).

I liked the Led Zeppelin version.

I liked the Led Zeppelin version.

"When I read Tolkein, I knew I had to live in the country."

    ~Robert Plant.

The script is ancient Elvish; but, yes you are correct that which is spoken is an evil language of Mordor that was so unwelcomed to the Elves because of its perversion that when Gandalf speaks them at the Council of Elrond they cover their ears in agony.

I liked the Led Zeppelin version.

"When I read Tolkein, I knew I had to live in the country."

    ~Robert Plant.

Plant named his dog Strider and "Misty Mountain Hop", "The Battle of Evermore" and "Over the Hills and Far Away" all have some reference to Tolkien in their lyrics.

    You forgot Ramble On.

That's the most explicit one, no? "In the darkest depths of Mordor ..." etc.

Yes sorry I did mean Ramble On instead of Over The Hills

"From the darkest depths of Mordor, I met a girl so far, but Gollum and the Evil One..."
