I once had a first edition of Henri Cartier-Bresson's "The Decisive Moment" but that's the extent of my biblophilia.

As seen before from my pics are the cover of the 1938 US 1st edition; but, here is what the orginal US dustjacket looked like.

I'm not big on Tolkien, but...I'm definitely impressed. Congrats on some beautiful editions. I finally bought Pynchon's Against the Day last night. If anyone is interested, the hardback is $7 on Amazon right now and I think they're trying to clear out the hardback stock so now would be the time to buy.

Sony Ericsson P 990i f***ing great smartphone for little money as the new one comes out soon- PDF, word and excel editing, email, W-LAN, UMTS, MP3, decent camera.

More recently I bought beer and snacks at the gas station across the street.

SoCal, do you have a big collection of first editions? It's an interesting hobby for someone that's bookish. :p

Docomo Sharp SH903iTV Just needed a cheapish phone that is of decent size. This one looked cool and since I am only using it for a short time it should be just fine.

Another Symbian man. Good chap (even if it is UIQ and not S60, I'll overlook that detail

TaylorMade R7 draw, I highly recommend for performance and price point. Pro Golf has them on sale at $199, so I thought I would try it out. I got the factory graphite shaft in regular flex. I hit a few buckets on the range and I like it better than my G2 driver...I did not hit one slice, which is something I can struggle with.

GE Watersmart under-sink water filter. Replaced my old Culligan RO system.

Also a Seagate 500G external drive to replace an old 300G that croaked -- thank God for the back-up ...
